The programme offers virtual mental health support and healthcare coverage, as well as life insurance, critical illness insurance, emergency medical travel insurance while travelling outside of the country, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and member and family aid programmes.
The standard plan for any Ontario Realtor, would cost members about $600 a year, and they would be responsible for covering the cost of any additional dental, vision, or extended coverage options. Notably, there would be no opt-out option available for OREA members who already have coverage through other carriers, and the programme would be required for all OREA members, regardless of age. Some realtors have expressed worry about the problem of diminished benefits for people who are 65 years old and older.
All province members and any Ontario Realtor, will have access to the proposal if it is authorised. Participant eligibility will not be determined by a medical examination or questionnaire. In the video, Artenosi says, “That’s big.” Members with pre-existing medical conditions are not eligible for critical illness insurance payouts for those conditions, although they are still eligible for other features of the regular plan, such as prescription coverage for those conditions.
The programme will cover accidental death and dismemberment insurance, critical illness insurance, out-of-country emergency medical travel insurance, and life insurance to any Ontario Realtor.
Additionally, there is a member and family aid programme that offers virtual mental health help in addition to healthcare coverage, which includes prescription drug coverage with a $750 cap, paramedical service coverage with a $750 cap (including massage, chiropractic, and other treatments), and medical supply coverage with a $500 cap.
