Beaverton

Welcome to Beaverton, a charming small town north of Toronto that give you a sense of belonging. This beautiful waterside community is steeped in Ontario history, outdoor activities, and culture. Notable figures such as NHL’s Basil McRae and Chris McRae, sculptor Ron Baird, and NHL broadcaster Foster Hewitt have called this place home. Part of the larger Brock Township, Beaverton provides a great place to raise a family and take life at a slower pace.

With roots tracing back to 1822, there’s no shortage of history, stories, and discoveries to be made. Its location along Lake Simcoe helped to establish the town as a thriving location for commerce, fishing, and recreation — a vibe the town has maintained more than 200 years later.

Among its most notable sites include the Beaverton Thorah Eldon Historical Society, Ethel Park, and Beaver River. The town also boasts several ice fishing huts, a beauty and wellness spa, restaurants, retail stores, schools, churches, and an abundance of walking and hiking trails. The town has also served as a backdrop for a number of films and music videos, including Cannibal Girls, Oddballs, and Dead of Winter.
